As watersports and outdoor enthusiasts it is so important to us to leave Hayling's beautiful nature unspoilt. We are constantly trying to improve in this specific area and are grateful for any suggestions to reduce our impact on the environment.

Plastic Free Festival

We are trying very hard to make the festival plastic free by drastically reducing our single use plastics. All food traders are asked to provide plastic free dishes and cutlery. Our goodie bags are made of paper. All our wristbands are recycled. Drinks at the bar are provided in re-usable cups. Event 'Rashies' for all kitesurfers are made from recycled ocean plastic.

CO2 & Energy reduction

The festival uses local suppliers wherever possible. We encourage festival visitors to use public transport or to car share. Fuel efficient generators are used and non essential lighting and other power outlets turned off when not in use.

Leave no trace policy

With reduced disposables, recycling bins on site, a dedicated litter team and an organised community beach clean we are leave the site spotless. Please get involved and clear all your rubbish, take all your belongings back home and keep the campsite and beach litter free.

Protected Land & Beach

We are once again partnering with Natural England and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust to ensure the festival does no damage to the environment in any way. BBQs and fires are not allowed in the campsite for Health & Safety reasons but also to protect the SSSI land we are using and camping on at the festival. If you are using the beach, please note the Ringed Plovers will be nesting at the back of the beach in June and we will be putting up some signage to point this out to all beach users, please avoid the areas signposted.
