The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada is a unique kitesurfing festival held on Hayling Island, bringing the kitesurfing community together on 17-19 June for one fantastic weekend of kiting, music, fundraising and record breaking. To date we have broken 5 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ and raised over £160,000 for charity.
17-19 June 2016
The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada Festival takes place on Hayling Island on 17-19 June 2016. The festival opens at 11am on Friday and features all the best kitesurfing brands exhibiting the latest gear, talks from pro-kiters and industry experts, live music and DJ’s, a bar area, jumbo screen and of course lots of kitesurfing! Everybody is welcome, entrance is free! Come down and get involved. See more.
Including the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ attempt
There will be loads of kitesurfing activities going on, alongside recreational kiting in the bay we are planning big air comps, foiling clinics, beginner taster sessions, a race round the sandbar and of course the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ attempt for the ‘Largest Parade of Kitesurfers’ over a one mile course (currently held by the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada South Africa with 415 kiters)! See more.
Supporting The Armada Trust
We love bringing together kitesurfing communities from across the UK and further afield, kiting together, breaking World Record’s & putting on a fantastic kitesurfing festival. But alongside this, the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada raises funds for a range of youth & rescue charities via The Armada Trust. We have raised over £160,000 for good causes, and we want to do even more this year! See more.
